CD handout quick check

Check the date on all prescriptions marked CD

Take care because some CD prescriptions are not marked as such, especially schedule 4 CDs and these too must not be handed out after 28 days from the date on the prescription. Schedule 4 is split into parts 1 and 2.  
Schedule 4.1 contains mainly benzodiazepines and sleeping tablets.  Look out for:

Alprazolam (Xanax)
Drugs ending -azepam (Note that temazepam is a Schedule 3 CD and should be kept in the CD cab)
Chlordiazepoxide (Librium)
Clobazam (Frisium)
Flurazepam (Dalmane)
Lorazepam (Ativan)
Zolpidem
Zopiclone (Zimovane)


Easily missed are the schedule 4.2 CDs like:
 
Testosterone, look out for the following brands:
Testogel
Testim
Testavan
Tostran
Sustanon
Nebido

Chorionic gonadotrophin, look out for the brand: Ovitrelle

Oxymetholone

Prasterone, brand: Intrarosa
